Thank you to everyone who participated in the survey. And sorry for spamming you a bit, I try not to send marketing emails and this was the first one in years.
As I expected, most of the users are involved in land surveying. In second place, surprisingly for me, came hydrology. 80% of users are small private businesses with up to 10 employees. The share of educational institutions is also significant.
About half of users use the service at least once a week. The rest do not use it regularly, due to working on business trips.
The issue that particularly concerned me was the distribution between permanent and field base stations. It turned out that mixed use prevails. For me, this means that there is no need to increase the functionality in the direction of RTK networks managing.
It was a surprise, the answer to the question why users prefer YouCORS to free alternatives. I secretly hoped it was because of my excellent user support and advice. But the vast majority of users said they chose our service because of its reliability. We haven't really had any major downtime in the last couple of years, but if this issue is that important, we'll add a system to monitor our NTRIP casters that will send a notification if something does go wrong. And we will try to make potentially dangerous changes to the systems only on weekends.
